KPI Advisor Elaine Kim condemns Abe’s attempt to rewrite Japan’s role in sexual slavery

In an interview with CBS SF/Bay Area, noted author and filmmaker Elaine Kim, University of California, Berkeley Professor of Asian American Studies, called Japanese Prime Minister Abe’s attempt to force U.S. publisher McGraw-Hill to cut paragraphs from a textbook about the ‘comfort women’, the hundreds of thousands of women forced into sexual slavery by the Japanese military during World War II  “wrong, but I also think it’s stupid and it’s going to fail.”  Elaine Kim is on the KPI Advisory Board.
